Data for Optimised Reasoning and Unified Modelling

Realm Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Realm CRM (the “Software”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

2. Description of the Software

Realm CRM is a Salesforce second-generation managed package (namespace rlmx) that provides geographic area mapping, household and tenure management, document-gated approval workflows, and optional AI-assisted features. It is developed and maintained by Data for Urban Modelling (DFORUM).

3. Licence

Subject to your compliance with these terms, DFORUM grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software within your Salesforce organisation for your internal business purposes.

You may not:

  • Sublicense, sell, resell, or redistribute the Software
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the Software to build a competing product

4. Third-Party Services

Certain features of Realm CRM integrate with third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by the respective providers’ terms:

  • OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation usage policy
  • Overpass API — subject to overpass-api.de usage policy
  • Google Maps / Google AI (Gemma) — subject to Google’s Terms of Service and API usage policies
  • Anthropic Claude API — subject to Anthropic’s usage policies
  • ESRI ArcGIS — subject to Esri’s Master License Agreement

DFORUM is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service. API keys and credentials for these services are your responsibility to obtain and secure.

5. Data and Privacy

All data you create or manage within Realm CRM is stored in your own Salesforce organisation. DFORUM does not access, collect, or store your Salesforce data except as described in our Privacy Policy.

When optional AI features are enabled, geographic coordinates and area names may be transmitted to Anthropic or Google APIs. You are responsible for ensuring this is permissible under your applicable data protection obligations.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Software only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws relevant to the personal data of households and individuals you manage within the system.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

DFORUM does not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Geographic boundary calculations, area measurements, and AI-generated outputs are provided for informational purposes and should not be relied upon as legally definitive.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DFORUM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to These Terms

DFORUM reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Software shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
